The panel members contribute by sharing personal experiences and providing advice on specific questions or projects, ensuring a holistic and inclusive approach to design.

Peta Hooke

Peta is a passionate disability advocate who loves a chat. She lives in Melbourne and has the lifelong disability of Cerebral Palsy.   

As creator and host of weekly podcast The I Can’t Stand Podcast, Peta answers questions and interviews fellow disabled people about life when you have a disability.

Peta has an educational background in Business, Accessible Tourism and Access/ Inclusion. She is also a very proud board member of Australian children’s charity Friend In Me. 

Advisor and Access Consultant

Morwenna Collett

A specialist consultant in access, diversity, equity and inclusion, Morwenna is committed to working towards a future where everyone has equal access to participate in arts and culture and in society more broadly.

She has worked closely to support a range of large and small organisations to help improve their practices, including clients in government, the arts, not-for-profit and university sectors.

Morwenna is currently Chair of the Access and Inclusion Committees for Sydney Festival and Sydney Fringe and a member of the OPerth Festival committee. She is an Affiliate member of the Access Consultants Association (ACA) and a member of The Inclusion Circle network. She has previously been a member of the Contemporary Music Board at Create NSW, a Director of Arts Capital (Canberra), CEO of Accessible Arts, Chair of Sydney Arts Managers Advisory Group and held various leadership positions with the Australia Council for the Arts (now called Creative Australia).

In 2020, she completed a Churchill Fellowship, exploring inclusive music programs, venues and festivals that actively engage disabled people across the USA, UK and Ireland. Her work is influenced by her own lived experience as a disabled musician.

Advisor and Inclusion Consultant

Grant Roberts

Grant is Deaf and communicates in Auslan as his preferred communication. Currently, Grant is working as an Accessibility Adviser at La Trobe University helping students receive support for their courses. Grant has a diverse background in customer service, program management, and disability support for over 30 years.

As a passionate advocate for the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing community, he has supported NDIS participants with the development of their plans while managing a team of 10 staff. While working at Bayside City Council as a Metro Access Officer, Grant developed sustainable practices that supported active inclusion in the community. He also worked previously as the CEO of TasDeaf.

Grant is currently a referee in the All Abilities Soccer League played in Melbourne.

Accessibility Adviser

Kadek Artayana

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Champion, Public Speaker, Mental Health Advocate

Kadek defies expectations as a totally blind athlete excelling in Brazilian jiu-jitsu. Competing against cited opponents with skill and determination, he not only showcases his athletic prowess but also advocates for people with disabilities.

He uses his platform to educate schools and businesses about living with blindness and the importance of Guide Dogs, embodying resilience and determination. In addition to his advocacy work, Kadek extends his support to others, helping them adopt a better mindset and navigate life's challenges. In 2023, he organised a Brazilian jiu-jitsu workshop specifically tailored for individuals with low vision or blindness, empowering them to build confidence and thrive.

Kadek emphasises the importance of belonging to the community, fostering a sense of inclusion and support for all. In 2021, Kadek showcased his commitment to making a difference by organising a fundraising event for Guide Dogs Victoria. He embarked on a challenging journey alongside a group of dedicated friends, riding his tandem bicycle from Melbourne to Sydney, raising over $15,000 in support of GDV.

His dedication to both his sport and his advocacy work continues to uplift those around him, leaving a lasting impact on the community.
